Master of Science in Computer ScienceKennesaw State University is now offering the NEW Master of Science in Computer Science degree to meet Georgia's increasing workforce demand in computer science. The MSCS program offers students a true graduate-school experience in the exciting discipline of Computer Science, with high expectations and intensive learning. The Masters program is designed to serve two kinds of qualified students who want to further their study in computer science: those who have BS degree in computer science, and those with undergraduate degrees in areas other than CS with required computer science and mathematics course work.
MSCS Program Requirements
Ph.D. in Analytics and Data Science
Kennesaw State University's Ph.D. in Analytics and Data Science is an advanced degree which has been developed to meet the market demand for Data Scientists.
This degree will train individuals to translate large, structured and unstructured, complex datasets into information to improve decision making. This curriculum includes heavy emphasis on programming, data mining, statistical modeling, and the mathematical foundations to support these concepts. Importantly, the program also emphasizes communication skills - both oral and written - as well as application and tying results to business and research problems.
Graduate Certificate in Computer Science Foundations
The Graduate Certificate in CS Foundations develops a breadth of knowledge across the computer science discipline, necessary to sustain graduate study in computer science. The MS CS Admissions Committee may optionally conditionally admit applicants lacking foundational knowledge in computer science, with the requirement to complete this certificate program.
Certification in High Performance Cluster Computing
This online graduate certificate program is appropriate for students from a variety of academic backgrounds with sufficient math, stats, and computer programming background and experience. This certificate is a stand-alone certificate, whose courses may be allowed as electives in some graduate programs.
