  • This concentration will fullfill requirements for BOTH the HPCC Certificate and the Applied Statistics and Data Analysis Minor

    • STAT 3120 Statistical Methods I
    • STAT 3130 Statistical Methods II
    • IS 4540 Data Mining
    • STAT 4310 Statistical Data Mining
    • ACST 4320 Data Warehousing and Mining
    • ACST 4570 Cloud Computing and HPCC Systems Platform

    When you go to petition to graduate, you may submit a petition to get the HPCC Certificate in addition to your Bachelor's degree.

  • Students completing this concentration will complete the requirements for the HPCC Certificate

    1. STAT 4030 Programming in R
    2. ACST 4320 Data Warehousing and Mining
    3. ACST 4570 Cloud Computing and HPCC Systems Platform
    4. IT 3203 Introduction to Web Development or IT 3503 Foundations of Health Information Technology
    5. Any upper-level (3000 or 4000) ACST, CS, SWE, CGDD, MATH or STAT course for which you meet the prerequisite.
  • Select one of the following minors (you must have at least 12 hours unique to this area/courses should not overlap with other major requirements)

    • Software Engineering minor (16 credit hours)
    • Computer Game Design & Development Minor (16 credit hours)
    • Due to overlap between minor and major requirements (for SWE, CSE 1322/L. For CGDD, CSE 1321/L) students should take at least 4 credit hours of any upper-level (3000 or 4000) ACST, CS, SWE, CGDD, MATH or STAT course for which you meet the prerequisite. Students should meet with an advisor to discuss the best course for their degree and update DegreeWorks.
