    Gabriela (Gaby) Saenz

    Academic Advisor

    Gaby graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Kent State University and a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Michigan State University. She has taught adjunct sociology classes at the University of Michigan Flint. And as an employee of MSU University Outreach and Engagement she had the privilege of managing the Promoting Academic Success in Boys of Color W.K. Kellogg Foundation Grant to improve academic outcomes in partnership with local community agencies and the Lansing School District. More recently she served as the College and Career Readiness Coordinator for Palo Verde High Magnet School. In her spare time Gaby enjoys learning new fields of study to better serve and advise students including biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, programming (C and Verilog), and calculus classes. Gaby is excited to apply her experiences of intervention design, teaching, career planning, student engagement and advising as she joins the CCSE advising team and she looks forward to supporting students as they explore, set and achieve personal goals and degree completion.
