    Academic Advisor

    Tamika holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, with teaching fields in Psychology and Biology, from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from the University of South Alabama. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Prior to joining the College of Computing and Software Engineering, she served in various roles at colleges and universities in Texas and Indiana. Tamika has 20+ years of comprehensive student services experience within higher education including Admissions & Academic Advising, Recruitment and Retention, Personal Counseling and Crisis Intervention, Career Planning and Program Development. As an educator, she is dedicated to advising and mentoring students as they work toward achieving their goals. It is vital to student success, to help students look at the big picture and develop a plan of action.
